The Master of Science in Informatics and Analytics develops leaders and problem-solvers who possess the knowledge and skill to thrive in the data science industry.
The program includes six interdisciplinary courses that establish a strong foundation in data science principles. In addition to the core program, students specialize in a concentration of interest.
The UNC Greensboro Master of Science in Informatics and Analytics program is a 30-credit degree that requires six core courses, three additional courses in a chosen concentration and a capstone experience in that same concentration.
The six core curriculum courses are:
- Statistical Methods
- Data Analytics
- Data Preparation
- Machine Learning and Predictive Analytics
- Data Visualization
- Analytical Solutions
In addition to the core curriculum, students must select a concentration of interest. Students may select from one of the following concentrations:
- Advance Data Analytics
- Computational Analytics
- Geo-spatial Analytics
The following concentrations will be available in the future:
- Bioinformatics
- Cultural Analytics
- Health Informatics
- Sports Analytics

為來自中國的學生設計 All applicants must have obtained the following: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or appropriately-evaluated credentials for non-U.S. schools; satisfactory academic standing as an undergraduate or in a post-baccalaureate program. Non-native speakers of English must validate proficiency in the English language by one of three means: TOEFL: 79 (paper-based 550); IELTS: 6.5 Band Score; PTE: 67; and ELS: 112.
