在這里學(xué)什么？
The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program is designed to prepare excellent science teachers for middle/secondary schools. The program is designed to enhance students’ knowledge of science, the nature of science, and the ways students learn science and to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to assume roles as science teacher leaders in today’s increasingly diverse high school settings. University and clinical faculty are committed to teacher education and development.
Career Opportunities
Career opportunities include licensed middle/secondary science teachers who are equipped to work with a diverse student population in the science disciplines.
Research Interests
Research interests include empowering and inclusive science education; youth identity work in science; diverse learners and educational Equity; and community-based science learning for youth.

- TED 669 Educational Implications of Learning and Developmental Theory (3), or TED 622 – Differentiated Instruction, or approved substitute
- TED 545 Diverse Learners, (3), or TED 646- Intro to Equity Education (3), or approved substitute
- ERM 605 – Educational Measurement and Evaluation, (3) or ERM 604- Methods of Educational Research (3), or an approved substitute

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 All applicants must have obtained the following: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or appropriately-evaluated credentials for non-U.S. schools; satisfactory academic standing as an undergraduate or in a post-baccalaureate program. Non-native speakers of English must validate proficiency in the English language by one of three means: TOEFL: 79 (paper-based 550); IELTS: 6.5 Band Score; PTE: 67; and ELS: 112.
