The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Teacher Education with a Concentration in the Learning Sciences Program helps students develop mastery in general focal areas that will strengthen work in the field of education, including:
- Understanding and Enacting Powerful Teaching and Learning;
- Empowering Motivated Learning; and
- Harnessing Educational Research for Theory, Practice, or Policy.
Career Opportunities
Develop practice, generate research, or influence policy that facilitates equitable, transformational education.
Research Interests
Faculty in the M.Ed. Learning Sciences Program engage in research in a wide range of areas. These include: equity in science education; student culture/identity and learning; professional development in math education; educational psychology; motivation; self regulation; understanding student learning; socio-cultural lens on learning; student belonging; teaching politics; and online education.

- TED 628 Learning and the Learner (3 hours)
- TED 545 Diverse Learners (3 hours) or TED 646 Intro. to Equity Education (3 hours)

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) All applicants must have obtained the following: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or appropriately-evaluated credentials for non-U.S. schools; satisfactory academic standing as an undergraduate or in a post-baccalaureate program. Non-native speakers of English must validate proficiency in the English language by one of three means: TOEFL: 79 (paper-based 550); IELTS: 6.5 Band Score; PTE: 67; and ELS: 112.
