The pre-veterinary medicine interest track comprises a core of courses required for admission to veterinary medical school. Your choice of pre-veterinary medicine at UNCG indicates your interest in preparing for a career in veterinary medicine. Because the required courses can be incorporated into almost any major at UNCG, students should consider a major they find interesting and feel they will do well in academically and then declare pre-veterinary medicine as their interest track at UNCG.
All of the veterinary medicine pre-requisite courses are offered at UNCG with the exception of animal nutrition. Students typically take this course online through NC State University, with exams proctored by UNCG faculty. Students applying to schools of veterinary medicine typically take the GRE (Graduate Record Examination) after the junior or senior year.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Students must have completed a high school diploma and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required; preferred 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale. UNCG accepts the following English Language Proficiency results for direct entry: IBT TOEFL 79 minimum; IELTS 6.5 minimum; ELS 112 score report; PTE Academic 53 minimum; and Level 5 Certificate – American Language Academy (ALA).
