The pre-medicine track comprises a core of courses required for admission to medical schools. Your choice of the pre-medicine interest track at UNCG indicates your interest in preparing for a career in medicine. Because the required courses can be incorporated into almost any major at UNCG, students should consider a major they find interesting and feel they will do well in academically and then declare pre-medicine as their interest track at UNCG.
Students enrolled in the pre-medicine interest track are assigned a secondary adviser from the UNCG Health Careers Advisory Committee, which comprises faculty from the biology, chemistry and biochemistry, psychology, physics, and nutrition departments, the College of Arts and Sciences Advising Center, School of Health and Human Sciences, and the Students First Office. (This is in addition to your primary adviser, whom you should seek out and meet with regularly.) For a competitive application, students should demonstrate not only academic excellence, but also experience volunteering or working in a medical or service setting and extensive longitudinal service to underserved populations and leadership while in college.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Students must have completed a high school diploma and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required; preferred 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale. UNCG accepts the following English Language Proficiency results for direct entry: IBT TOEFL 79 minimum; IELTS 6.5 minimum; ELS 112 score report; PTE Academic 53 minimum; and Level 5 Certificate – American Language Academy (ALA).
