The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama emphasizes that theatre is a discipline involving three basic factors: talent, study, and practice. Only students who show evidence of talent and who work to perfect it through classroom study combined with practical application in the production program will be continued in the major.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting educates students who are literate in history, theory, and practice of theatre, and have particular training relevant to performing for the stage, film, and television. Students must audition to be admitted into this highly selective program.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Acting in the School of Theatre at UNCG is a comprehensive program for the student of outstanding promise and motivation whose goal is a career in theatre, film, and television.
Entry into this selective program is highly competitive and designed specifically for those seriously pursuing acting as their occupation. Auditions are held three times each year on the UNCG campus for high school seniors. Students who are chosen for the program arrive their freshman year and immediately begin a range of intensive classes in acting, voice, movement, stage combat, and acting for the camera, along with courses in theatre history, technical theatre, and general liberal arts courses.

為來自中國的學生設(shè)計 Students must have completed a high school diploma and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required; preferred 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale. UNCG accepts the following English Language Proficiency results for direct entry: IBT TOEFL 79 minimum; IELTS 6.5 minimum; ELS 112 score report; PTE Academic 53 minimum; and Level 5 Certificate – American Language Academy (ALA).
