As an accounting major, you can expect to be challenged and graduate ready to either begin an entry-level accounting career or apply to a graduate program to continue your studies in accounting or a related field.
Our graduates have meaningful and productive careers in business and industry, government, education, and non-profit organizations. Most graduates take positions in the areas of auditing, business advisory services, financial planning and analysis, banking, tax, and management.
DEGREE OUTCOMES
The program prepares students for business and accounting positions in industry, government, and non-profit entities. In addition, students are prepared for graduate study, most often in accounting or finance but also in law and business. (A graduate degree in accounting is typically necessary for a position in public accounting.)
Professional opportunities in accounting include auditor, consultant, information systems consultant, investment analyst, business adviser, tax adviser, controller, cost accountant, and financial planner.

為來自中國的學生設計 Students must have completed a high school diploma and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required; preferred 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale. UNCG accepts the following English Language Proficiency results for direct entry: IBT TOEFL 79 minimum; IELTS 6.5 minimum; ELS 112 score report; PTE Academic 53 minimum; and Level 5 Certificate – American Language Academy (ALA).
