The philosophy degree is for students who want a strong foundation in the liberal arts, wish to sharpen their critical thinking and moral reasoning skills, are preparing for a career in law or government, or are contemplating graduate study in philosophy or a related discipline. Students will enhance their moral awareness and learn to analyze, question orthodoxies, solve problems, and express themselves clearly and logically. The pre-law concentration prepares students for the rigors of law school with courses in logic, epistemology, ethics, political philosophy, and the philosophy of law.
DEGREE OUTCOMES
Careers in law, medicine, psychology, government, business, public service, applied ethics, and many other fields.
Preparation for graduate studies or law school.
The Philosophy department also offers a completely Online Degree Program for students. All teaching, course materials, exams, discussion boards, etc. are online and available anytime. Graduation requirements for the online major are the same as for on-campus students.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Students must have completed a high school diploma and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required; preferred 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale. UNCG accepts the following English Language Proficiency results for direct entry: IBT TOEFL 79 minimum; IELTS 6.5 minimum; ELS 112 score report; PTE Academic 53 minimum; and Level 5 Certificate – American Language Academy (ALA).
