The Master of Arts in Special Education is a practical, teacher-oriented program designed for general education teachers, special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other professionals seeking initial, additional, or advanced study in working with students with disabilities. Students acquire an understanding of learning theories, special education policies, research-validated instructional strategies, and behavior analytic practices needed to work with students with disabilities and their families.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates of the program pursue careers serving children, youth, and adults with disabilities. Graduates can become teachers, supervisors, and administrators in public and private schools, service agencies, and therapy centers.
PROGRAM OPTIONS
The M.A. in Special Education is a fully online program.
Students may choose a thesis (33 hours) or a non-thesis (36 hours) track for their degree program.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Earned a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited xadcollege or university in the United States or have proof of equivalent training at a foreign institution. A minimum grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) from an awarded master's or bachelor's degree may be admitted with no conditions. TOEFL Internet 79, TOEFL Paper 60, IELTS 6.5.
