The Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Education with a concentration in Instructional Technology (IST) focuses on the understanding, design, and application of learning environments and activities supported by current and emergent technologies, in both formal and informal settings.
Emphasis is placed on culturally-relevant and technology-mediated approaches to learning and teaching, such as instructional design, games and learning, virtual worlds, educational robotics, new literacies, youth cultures, and digital storytelling. The program is designed for students seeking to expand their knowledge of learning technologies, instructional design, and multimedia development for learning, as well as those seeking leadership roles in these areas.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
The IST program prepares graduates for a variety of jobs (some may require entry-level skills in adult and higher education or management of technology). K-12 education opportunities include campus or district technology trainer, master technology trainer, master technology classroom teacher. Industry and corporate positions include instructional designer, course designer, instructional technologies, corporate trainer, software consultant, training specialist, resource instructor, assistive technology coordinator, and system analyst

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Earned a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited xadcollege or university in the United States or have proof of equivalent training at a foreign institution. A minimum grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) from an awarded master's or bachelor's degree may be admitted with no conditions. TOEFL Internet 79, TOEFL Paper 60, IELTS 6.5.
