The Master of Arts in Early Childhood and Elementary Education is designed to allow students the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills for effective instruction and care, leadership, and advocacy in early childhood and elementary education in a diverse society. The emphasis of this program is on integrating reflective practices with current research perspectives for practical applications. This program is accredited by NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children).
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Students that complete this degree will be qualified to work in a variety of early childhood and elementary settings as classroom teachers (with necessary certifications), early childhood and elementary education curriculum specialists, and childcare directors and advocates. They can also serve with non-profit organizations, government agencies, and community agencies.
PROGRAM OPTIONS
The Master of Arts in Early Childhood and Elementary Education requires 33 (thesis) or 36 (non-thesis) semester hours for completion.

A minimum grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) from an awarded master's or bachelor's degree may be admitted with no conditions. TOEFL Internet 79, TOEFL Paper 60, IELTS 6.5.
