Everywhere we turn we’re surrounded with technology powered by electricity. Even now, you’re probably reading this text off of a device that has electric energy coursing through it. If you enjoy working with a wide array of electronics and are interested in learning how to research, design, test and make them, then you may want to study electrical engineering.
UTSA’s Electrical Engineering Program
Accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, UTSA’s Electrical Engineering degree develops a strong foundation in the engineering sciences. You’ll acquire the analysis, design and synthesis tools needed to work effectively with many traditional and emerging technologies. In this program, you’ll choose between concentrations like Communications, Computer Engineering, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Electronic Materials and Devices, Systems and Control, and Electric Power Engineering. Each of these will help you develop a niche focus that will propel you into careers with electronics companies, high-tech industries and government agencies.
