This program is designed to teach you how to extract meaningful information from data and transform it into actions that will improve an organization’s decision-making process.
UTSA’s Business Analytics Program
A degree in Business Analytics at UTSA will provide the framework and analytical tools you’ll need to manage and decipher data, build models, and leverage the results to recognize problems and opportunities. You’ll be able to apply analytical models and acquire the essential quantitative and computer skills necessary to help solve problems in technical business environments.
What You’ll Learn
As a business analytics major, you’ll take specialized coursework in analytics, statistical programming, data mining, artificial intelligence and machine learning in addition to core business classes like accounting, economics, finance, information systems, management and marketing. You’ll have the opportunity to develop and apply analytical models and acquire essential quantitative and computer skills. You’ll utilize the latest software tools like R, Python, SAS, SQL and SPSS to learn how to create data visualizations, solve problems and help businesses make successful decisions.

A TOEFL Paper-Based Test (PBT) score of 550 or greater. An IELTS score of 6.5 or greater. A PTE Academic score of 58 or greater. A Cambridge C1 Advanced minimum scale 180 grade C or higher.
