The mission of the graduate program in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering is to prepare students to be leaders in industry, government, or academia. The field of engineering is continuously evolving and alumni with the advanced education and research skills associated with obtaining graduate degrees have the flexibility, breadth, and depth to become leaders as the problems of tomorrow arise.
All students in the MS program will learn the techniques required of individuals interested in pursuing further education and careers in academic, as well as entering the work force in industrial settings.
A Plan A program involves developing, implementing and defending a research project and formal thesis, in addition to coursework. A Plan B program involves coursework and writing a final paper submitted to the student's advisor.
Plan A students: 26 course credit hours, 4 research hours, thesis and defense;
Plan B students: 30 course credit hours, final paper;
Publication of thesis.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 A bachelor's degree from an accredited or recognized school is required. A cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 on previous coursework is required for full admission (3.25 for interdisciplinary program applicants). Proof of English Proficiency: A minimum score of 540 on the written exam, or 76 on the Internet-based test; IELTS: A minimum score of 6.0 is required for admission.
