Two options:
- Earn a bachelor of science in Environment & Natural Resources. This degree requires the addition of a concurrent major of your choosing, which can be any undergraduate degree program UW offers.
- Or, add this concurrent major to any undergraduate degree program at UW.
You’ll work with students from across campus to learn critical thinking and collaborative problem solving for natural resource challenges.
Environment and natural resources understanding is relevant to every field of study—from biology to business, from public health to political science, from art to anthropology, and many more.
A major in environment and natural resources from the Haub School emphasizes development of essential skills:
- Communication (written and spoken)

Careers:
Career opportunities exist in in private companies like environmental consulting, reclamation/restoration, and regulatory compliance firms, in non-profit organizations that specialize in science communication, outreach, or environmental education, with local, state, or federal agencies in conservation, recreation and open space planning, natural resource management, or land-use planning.
