Course summary
Develop your understanding of current best practice in the leading edge technologies, processes and systems of mechanical engineering. Enhance your employability through achieving higher-level technical knowledge and personal skills. Study on a course that meets the Engineering Council’s UK-SPEC requirements for further learning. Meet the academic requirements for Chartered Engineering (CEng) status. Qualify on a course accredited by the IMechE.
This course is suitable for you if you wish to develop your technical expertise in mechanical engineering and is ideal if you are preparing to move to a more technically demanding role.
Accreditation
This course is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).
How you learn
You will study a combination of technical modules addressing advanced aspects of mechanical engineering, complemented by two management modules and a masters project.
Optional modules are in the subject areas of manufacturing, design, design analysis (i.e. element analysis) and sustainability, energy and environmental management.
