Course summary
- Develop traditional and digital reporting skills and equip yourself to work in the fast-paced world of modern journalism. Gain understanding of media technologies that affect the way journalists discover, record and report the latest stories.
- Gain specialist expertise across a range of media platforms; online and social media, television, radio, newspapers and magazines, photography and visualisation.
- Critically analyse and discuss major issues in British and international journalism including truth and verification, media impact and current ethical challenges.
The course offers career enhancement for those already working as journalists through advancing knowledge and understanding of the latest trends and emerging technologies.
How you learn
You will develop a professional and ethical approach to learning, research, professional practice and e course teams worked with the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ), Professional Publishers Association (PPA) and take advice from the Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC) to ensure that the course has a strong vocational focus on the core personal, practical and professional skills required for a career in multimedia journalism.
