Explore educational achievement in relation to social class, develop your understanding of social, developmental and cognitive psychology, and learn and practise counselling skills.**How you learn**You learn through- lectures- seminar discussions- practical classes and workshops- simulation and roleplay- microteaching- co-counselling- presentations- group and individual tutorials- guided independent study- peer tutoring- tutor demonstration- fieldwork and project work- external visits- work-based learning placement (including overseas placement)There are opportunities to study abroad at one of our partner universities with the possibility of funding through the Erasmus programme (subject to the UK’s continued participation in the Erasmus programme following the Brexit transition period).**Applied learning****Work placements**Each year you gain valuable experience and professional skills with a two-day per week, seven week placement in a school, college or other education-related organisation.We guarantee to find you a placement, unless you choose to source your own. In your second year there are opportunities to spend a month working abroad with one of our partner institutions. We have arrangements with universities in Germany, Spain and Las Vegas, USA.

為來自中國的學生設計 The following qualifications from China will be considered for entry on to undergraduate programmes, with a minimum average of 60 per cent: Diploma from Specialised College (Zhongzhnan); Diploma from Vocational Secondary School (Zhixiao); Three year middle school diploma plus foundation degree; and A levels. Graduate Diploma from: Radio and TV Universities; Spare Time Universities; Training Colleges for Administrative cadres; Higher Education Self Study Examinations; Adult Education/Adult Education in Science and Technology subjects; Senior High School Diploma; Chinese University Entrance Examination (until 2003); College Graduation Diploma (Dazhuan awarded by university/college on completion of 2-3 years study). Applicants who have completed the first year of an undergraduate degree at a Chinese university may be considered for direct entry to Sheffield Hallam University undergraduate programmes. Sheffield Hallam welcomes applications from international school students taking the International Baccalaureate Diploma and those achieving 28 points or more will usually be successful in obtaining an offer of a place on our undergraduate programmes. IELTS for UKVI 6.0; Listening: minimum level 5.5; Speaking: minimum level 5.5; Reading: minimum level 5.5; Writing: minimum level 5.5.
