在這里學(xué)什么?
There's more than one path to the front of a classroom. Some people go straight from high school to college to a teaching career. For others, there are important stops along the way.
WMU's Master of Arts in workforce education and development is a degree for people who have found themselves in other careers, but have decided that they want to teach. The program, from WMU's College of Education and Human Development offers specializations for former military personnel and for people with bachelor's degrees in teachable subjects.
Why career and technical education at Western Michigan University?
This online program requires only a few face-to-face meetings. Students create a custom track so they can meet career goals without taking a break from their current lifestyle. There are two specializations to take you to the next level.
Troops-to-teachers This program offers a special focus area exclusively for the US Government Troops-to-Teachers program. Military personnel, with a bachelor's degree and related work experience in business, family and consumer sciences, or industrial-technical areas, may be eligible to obtain a teaching certification entirely online, anywhere in the world. Post-baccalaureate teaching certification Designed for non-traditional students with a bachelor's degree in a teachable area like business, industrial technology, or family and consumers sciences, this program allows students to meet requirements for Initial Teacher Certification. Graduates will be prepared to teach career and technical education courses and develop and implement new curricula at secondary and post-secondary levels. While not completely offered online, students can complete teaching hours at schools near them.
