Western Michigan University prepares its civil engineering students to help plan, design and oversee construction and maintenance of everything from roads and bridges to airports and power plants. As a students in this program, you will be able to apply knowledge of traditional mathematics, science and engineering skills to identify and solve engineering problems. Technology is continuously changing this profession, so you will need to commit to lifelong learning to have knowledge of contemporary issues.
Beyond the classroom
As a civil engineering student at WMU, you will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on projects with local industry, qualify for our departmental scholarships, and become a member of the Sunseeker solar racing team. WMU's College of Engineering and Applied Sciences also has more than 25 student organizations open to you, including the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Association of General Contractors.

為來自中國的學生設計 A first-year applicant is a student who is applying for admission and who has not attempted or earned any college credit after graduating from high school (or earned equivalent). Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) A minimum score of 61 iBT is required. Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) A minimum score of 69 is required. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Module. A minimum score of 6.0 is required. Pearson Test of English Academic Module. A minimum score of 45 is required.
