專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么?
If you decide to major in speech, language and hearing sciences at Western Michigan University you will be well on your way to working with children and adults in schools or medical centers providing evaluation and treatment services for children and adults who have speech, language, hearing, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders.
Beyond the classroom
As a speech, language and hearing sciences student at WMU, you will have clinical observation available to you in the department’s Charles Van Riper Language, Speech and Hearing Clinic. You may be eligible for an opportunity for clinical practice in this clinic.
After you graduate
Completion of the undergraduate program in speech, language and hearing sciences prepares you for the graduate-level education needed to work in either field. A master's degree in speech, language and hearing sciences or a doctoral degree in audiology is the entry-level requirement for certification as a professional.
