Western Michigan University's digital media and journalism major prepares students with the interdisciplinary media and information technology competencies required for effective 21st century communication. The major builds on a strong foundation of critical thinking and social responsibility. To complete the major, students then choose one of three subdiscipline emphases: journalism, digital media production, or media management and media technology.
This program will provide you with:
Practical skills in journalism, the media professions or media and technology management Understanding of the current media industry and the application of technology in communication
Analytical and critical thinking skills related to media messages and media systems
Beyond the classroom
As a digital media and journalism student at WMU, you will may elect to earn internship credits in a wide range of media and organizational settings.
After you graduate
WMU graduates with degrees in digital media and journalism are prepared for careers as:

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) A first-year applicant is a student who is applying for admission and who has not attempted or earned any college credit after graduating from high school (or earned equivalent). Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) A minimum score of 61 iBT is required. Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) A minimum score of 69 is required. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Module. A minimum score of 6.0 is required. Pearson Test of English Academic Module. A minimum score of 45 is required.
