The MPH in Environmental Systems and Human Health equips you to advance public health by working toward sustainable environments, both natural and built. You will work at the intersection of occupational, environmental, and planetary health, acquiring broad skills for assessing risks and designing responses that protect the public’s health.
The Environmental Systems and Human Health MPH reflects the track record of leadership and reform for which the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health (SPH) is well known. For example, OHSU-PSU SPH researchers have broken new ground in promoting worker health via innovative programs related to diet, work-family balance, peer support, flexible scheduling, post-military support, and other issues.
Our MPH in Environmental Systems and Human Health enables you to:
- Examine public health questions from an interdisciplinary perspective that integrates environmental science, medicine, biostatistics, chemistry, biology, behavioral science, and other fields.

The MPH in Environmental Systems and Human Health qualifies you for a wide range of careers. You will be prepared for advanced positions in environmental regulation, industrial hygiene, occupational health, environmental remediation, food safety, nonprofit advocacy, and related fields.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) To be admitted to PSU for a master’s program, applicants must satisfy University requirements and be accepted by the academic department in which the graduate study will occur. Admission eligibility is based on receipt of a baccalaureate degree equivalent to a United States four-year bachelor's degree from a college or university recognized as an institution of higher education by the Ministry of Education in the relevant country or be regionally accredited within the U.S. Regular Admission: To be considered for regular admission, applicants must have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or the equivalent (on the U.S. 4.0 scale). Applicants who have earned 9 or more letter-graded graduate credits must have a minimum graduate GPA of 3.0 or the equivalent; this graduate GPA supersedes the undergraduate GPA. IELTS: 6.5 overall score with minimum sub scores of 6.5 in reading and writing, TOEFL score of Paper-based: 550 overall; 22 in writing with 20 in reading and listening, TOEFL score of Internet-based: Minimum overall score of 80 with minimum sub scores of 18 in reading and writing, PTE - Academic: 60 overall.
