Our degree program provides you a deep understanding of world diversity and can be taken as a major or minor. We offer concentrations in:
- International business and economics
- International development and humanitarian affairs
- International security and diplomacy
- Peace studies
- Regional studies
An academic certificate in Global Perspectives is also available. The certificate will help you develop the cross-cultural communication skills needed to enter a professional program or the global workforce.
The International Studies major consists of 39 credit hours, including 27 credit hours in a specific area. You will also need to complete 6 credit hours of upper-level foreign language classes in addition to the foreign language requirements in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences core curriculum. Pursuing a minor in International Studies requires 18 credit hours.
