Program Overview
The MSN in Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (PNP-PC) online program is designed for nurses who are dedicated to providing expert, evidence-based care for children from birth to 21 years of age. This program prepares the pediatric nurse practitioner to provide leadership and promote research in the development of healthcare services for children across the primary care continuum, from preventative care to disease treatment. The PNP-PC is equipped to meet the needs of pediatric patients and their families at whichever point the patient enters the healthcare system.
The UTA MSN in Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner online program includes these key elements:
Develops skills to provide pediatric care and case management for patients in ambulatory settings, acute and chronically ill community settings, acute care facilities, and extended care facilities
Hones the ability to use research and theoretical principles in the management and quality improvement of healthcare delivery and clinical outcomes
Promotes skills to develop collaborative relationships with community agencies concerned with health problems related to economic, psychosocial, cultural and environmental factors in the quality improvement of healthcare delivery to the pediatric population
The UTA Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program was one of the first of its kind in Texas and has prepared hundreds of nurses to work with children across all spectrums of healthcare. This quality program results in first-time certification pass rates among UTA students that exceed 95%—among the highest in the U.S.—and produces highly employable pediatric primary care nurse practitioners.

為來自中國的學生設(shè)計 An applicant must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university or its foreign equivalent, with a satisfactory grade-point average. Applicants are expected to submit a score of at least 550 on the paper-based TOEFL, a score of at least 213 on the computer-based TOEFL, a minimum score of 6.5 on the IELTS, or a minimum TOEFL iBT total score of 79. Further, when the TOEFL iBT is taken, sectional scores of at least 22 on the writing section, 21 on the speaking section, 20 on the reading section, and 16 on the listening
