在這里學(xué)什么？
The School of Social Work (SSW) strives to educate leaders to create community partnerships for promoting a just society. The School promotes the highest standards of integrity and excellence in research, teaching and service, and creates collaborative scholarly and educational opportunities for students and the community, with the goal of achieving a just society.
The SSW has identified several broad program objectives: engaging in evidence-informed research, teaching and practice, preparing students to assume leadership roles and activities in the local community and beyond, and to conduct community-based research to address complex and pressing social issues at the local, national and global levels.
Social workers' main goal is to help others improve their lives by:
- Helping individuals, families, groups and communities improve their lives.
- Advocating for social justice.
- Working towards understanding human behavior in the social environment.
Curriculum
The BSW Degree plan is designed to prepare you for a generalist career in social work or to lay the foundation for you to pursue a Master’s of Social Work. We have several options for you in completing your degree; the respective paths to the BSW are below:
- BSW Program - Take classes face-to-face at the Arlington campus, online and/or hybrid.
- BSW Cohort Program in Fort Worth - all courses are taken in Fort Worth in a prescribed order; students complete the degree with the same cohort or group of students so as to build community and ensure a supportive environment as they proceed through the curriculum toward BSW completion.
- Sample Pathways to the BSW
The UTA School of Social Work, in conjunction with the Honors College, offers the opportunity to earn an Honors Bachelor of Social Work.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 In order to be considered for freshman admission you must have completed a secondary school series equivalent to that of United States high school graduation. The minimum acceptable score on the TOEFL is 79 on the Internet-based test, 550 on the paper-based test and 213 on the computer-based test. The minimum acceptable overall score of 6.5 is required for admission.
