The BS with an Option in Community Development provides you the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in or dealing with the public sector. You will learn best practices regarding leadership, communications, research, diversity, group dynamics, economics, human resources, policy-making, and strategic planning within a community setting.
Gain the skills and knowledge employers desire for administrative positions within public health. You will develop an enhanced understanding of physical, mental, and behavioral health, as well as aging, death, and risk identification and management. This concentration will prepare you to effectively meet the social, environmental, and economic challenges of communities.
Required Course
HSC 211 Human Anatomy and Physiology
Note: HSC 211 (or equivalent) is required. It will not count toward the 12 hours in Health Sciences but it may be applied toward the General Education Requirements. It is a prerequisite to some of the courses listed below.
