Through CMU’s geography program, you’ll explore the relationship and interactions between humans and their environment. A degree in geography will prepare you for a career making decisions about urban and regional planning, resource utilization and preservation, mitigation of natural hazards, and homeland security. You’ll also be prepared to pursue graduate studies, including CMU's master’s degree in Geographic Information Science.
Geography: Geographic Information Sciences
Plot your destiny at CMU. If you’d enjoy solving geographic problems in city government, business, scientific research or public land management, you’ll like our geography program with emphasis on geographic information sciences. You’ll acquire the necessary computer skills, learn to work in the field and office, and develop a mix of creative and technical talents.

English language requirements: Test of English as a Foreign Language (minimum score of 550 PBT, 213 CBT, or 79 IBT), International English Language Testing System (minimum score of 6.5), Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (minimum score of 77), Pearson Test of English (minimum score of 53), ELS Language Center Program: Completion of Level 112.
