在這里學(xué)什么？
This four-year degree program prepares students for generalist social work practice. It helps students develop the competence to apply knowledge, values, and skills to practice with individuals, small groups, organizations, and communities. The program also prepares students for graduate education. The BSW degree equips the practitioner to work with people who are encountering challenges related to personal or social circumstances. In addition, qualified graduates may apply for advanced standing to the IU School of Social Work or other MSW programs nationwide.
Grounded in a competency-based education with field education as the signature pedagogy, Bachelor's in Social Work students prepare for generalist social work practice with individuals, families, groups, and communities. Students pursuing this professional degree gain theory and practice knowledge, skills, and values to work with, advocate for, and research to evaluate and intervene at multiple system levels. With the program foundation based on a strong liberal arts curriculum, students gain a foundation for life-long learning to be agents of change.
IU School of Social Work is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and has been helping students acquire social work skills since 1911. The Bachelor of Social Work program is competency based. Through a rigorous course of study, students develop the ability to:
- Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior
- Engage in practice which respects diversity and difference
- Advance human rights as well as social, environmental, and economic justice
- Engage in research informed practice
- Assess, intervene and evaluate practice with individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants must have completed or will complete secondary school by the time of enrollment; No grade point average guarantees admission to IUPUI. We look for applicants who have demonstrated a "B" average or above average grades, with strong grades in math and science. TOEFL (iBT) – 60; IELTS – 5.5; IUPUI Program for Intensive English (PIE) score of Level 5; GCSE or GCE O Level in English language score of Grades A-C; International Baccalaureate score of Higher Level English A1 or A2 Certificate, grade of 4 or higher; Freshman English Composition Course score of "C" grade or higher (equivalent to IUPUI W131) from a regionally accredited U.S. University.
