This program, which aims to prepare graduates for careers in the motorsports industry, as well as in automotive-related companies, focuses on teaching fundamentals of engineering and includes hands-on projects that involve designing, analyzing, and building of actual systems for motorsports.
This 4-year Bachelor of Science degree in Motorsports Engineering was approved in May 2008. This program prepares graduates for careers in the motorsports industry, as well as automotive-related companies. The focus is on teaching fundamentals of engineering and includes hands-on projects that involve designing, analyzing, and building of actual systems.
The Motorsports Engineering program is 127 credit hours including a foundation of 70 semester hours in engineering and engineering course work. Motorsports specific classes include:
- Introduction to Motorsports
- Business of Motorsports
- Motorsports Design
- Data Acquisition in Motorsports I & II
- Dynamic Systems and Signals
- Computer Aided Engineering
- Control Systems Analysis and Design
- Motorsports Aerodynamics
- Vehicle Dynamics
- IC Engines
- Capstone Design Project
- Internship
The program educational objectives of the Motorsports Engineering undergraduate program are to integrate engineering and life science principles into a comprehensive curriculum that produces graduates who can achieve the following career and professional accomplishments, if desired:
- Meet expectations of employers in Motorsports Engineering and related fields
- Achieve recognition and/or advancement consistent with their education
- Continue growth in professional knowledge through additional education, certification or licensing

為來自中國的學生設計 Applicants must have completed or will complete secondary school by the time of enrollment; No grade point average guarantees admission to IUPUI. We look for applicants who have demonstrated a "B" average or above average grades, with strong grades in math and science. TOEFL (iBT) – 60; IELTS – 5.5; IUPUI Program for Intensive English (PIE) score of Level 5; GCSE or GCE O Level in English language score of Grades A-C; International Baccalaureate score of Higher Level English A1 or A2 Certificate, grade of 4 or higher; Freshman English Composition Course score of "C" grade or higher (equivalent to IUPUI W131) from a regionally accredited U.S. University.
