The bachelor’s degree prepares students to practice interior design and to be eligible after two years of work experience to sit for the professional certification exam (NCIDQ). The curriculum builds on the foundation of the associate’s degree and further equips graduates with the knowledge and skills required to collaborate with licensed professionals in the architectural, mechanical, electrical, and construction trades.
Interior design is a discipline which teams with architecture, engineering, construction, art, and other trades to create interior spaces that are both beautiful and efficient. The profession is qualified by education, experience and examination to plan space, implement building codes, specify and design lighting, position electrical and mechanical systems, assemble computer generated drawings and graphics, choose materials, and select finishes and furniture for both commercial and residential structures.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants must have completed or will complete secondary school by the time of enrollment; No grade point average guarantees admission to IUPUI. We look for applicants who have demonstrated a "B" average or above average grades, with strong grades in math and science. TOEFL (iBT) – 60; IELTS – 5.5; IUPUI Program for Intensive English (PIE) score of Level 5; GCSE or GCE O Level in English language score of Grades A-C; International Baccalaureate score of Higher Level English A1 or A2 Certificate, grade of 4 or higher; Freshman English Composition Course score of "C" grade or higher (equivalent to IUPUI W131) from a regionally accredited U.S. University.
