The HIM program serves as a bridge between clinical, operational, and administrative functions and incorporates medicine, management, finance, information technology, and law into one curriculum. Because of the course work diversity, HIM graduates can choose from a variety of work settings across an array of health care environments including analyzing health information, managing electronic health records, and ensuring the privacy and security of patient data.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants must have completed or will complete secondary school by the time of enrollment; No grade point average guarantees admission to IUPUI. We look for applicants who have demonstrated a "B" average or above average grades, with strong grades in math and science. TOEFL (iBT) – 60; IELTS – 5.5; IUPUI Program for Intensive English (PIE) score of Level 5; GCSE or GCE O Level in English language score of Grades A-C; International Baccalaureate score of Higher Level English A1 or A2 Certificate, grade of 4 or higher; Freshman English Composition Course score of "C" grade or higher (equivalent to IUPUI W131) from a regionally accredited U.S. University.
