The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.) degree program prepares students for career opportunities in the hardware and software aspects of design, development, and operation of electronic systems and components, embedded systems, control and robotics, communications, digital signal processing, and energy systems.
Program Educational Objectives
The Program Educational Objectives of the Electrical Engineering degree program are to prepare graduates who will be successful in their chosen career paths by:
Becoming productive and valuable engineers in the private or public sector,
Pursuing and completing graduate studies, and/or
Taking on leadership roles in their professions, as well as in their communities and the global society.
Student Outcomes (SOs)
These student outcomes address the abilities of our students upon graduation. Engineering programs must demonstrate that their students attain the following outcomes:
- An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering
- An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data
- An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability
- An ability to function on multidisciplinary teams
- An ability to identify, formulates, and solves engineering problems
- An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility
- An ability to communicate effectively
- The broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context
- Recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning
- Knowledge of contemporary issues
- An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Applicants must have completed or will complete secondary school by the time of enrollment; No grade point average guarantees admission to IUPUI. We look for applicants who have demonstrated a "B" average or above average grades, with strong grades in math and science. TOEFL (iBT) – 60; IELTS – 5.5; IUPUI Program for Intensive English (PIE) score of Level 5; GCSE or GCE O Level in English language score of Grades A-C; International Baccalaureate score of Higher Level English A1 or A2 Certificate, grade of 4 or higher; Freshman English Composition Course score of "C" grade or higher (equivalent to IUPUI W131) from a regionally accredited U.S. University.
