在這里學(xué)什么？
Each discipline in the secondary program (English, world languages, mathematics, and social studies) requires a unique and highly prescribed program of study. Courses in these programs of study fall into three categories: the common core curriculum, the licensure concentration program, and the teacher education program. In all areas of these programs, the courses are carefully selected to prepare students to meet the rigorous content and teaching standards required for a middle school and high school teaching license in the discipline.
It is expected that students complete 30 credit hours of coursework per year. If fewer than 30 credits are completed successfully during the fall or spring semesters, or if developmental (non-credit) courses must be taken as prerequisites to required courses (e.g., Math 00100), students are expected to enroll in coursework during the summer terms to get back on track for an on-time graduation.
The Social Studies Education major for Secondary Education focuses on grades 5-12. The REPA Licensing Rules require 120 credit hours to be completed in order to earn their degree. You must complete 28 of your 34 General Education credits before you may begin the Secondary Teacher Education Program.

We look for applicants who have demonstrated a "B" average or above average grades, with strong grades in math and science. TOEFL (iBT) – 60; IELTS – 5.5; IUPUI Program for Intensive English (PIE) score of Level 5; GCSE or GCE O Level in English language score of Grades A-C; International Baccalaureate score of Higher Level English A1 or A2 Certificate, grade of 4 or higher; Freshman English Composition Course score of "C" grade or higher (equivalent to IUPUI W131) from a regionally accredited U.S. University.
