Finance is the study of how to create and maintain wealth. It is the art of administering and managing money that examines the functions and purposes of monetary systems, credit, prices, money markets, and financial institutions. This major includes study in the areas of corporate finance, investments, and banking.
Finance majors help corporations sort out the complexities of their investment options and align them with their long-term goals. Kelley finance graduates often pursue the following career paths:
- Financial Advisor
- Financial Analyst
- Financial Manager
- Insurance Agent
- Investment Banker
- Trader
Because of our location in Indiana’s economic center, Kelley finance students are recruited early and vigorously, often landing internships as early as their sophomore year. And many students turn those internships into full-time positions at corporations, banks, financial advising firms, brokerage firms and insurance companies.
The undergraduate curriculum in this major is designed to provide familiarity with the instruments and institutions of finance and with a financial approach for structuring and analyzing management decisions.
Course offerings are designed to integrate various aspects of the environment - such as the state of the economy, taxes, and legal considerations - into the decision-making process.
Study in finance, along with appropriate electives, provides academic preparation for careers in corporate financial management; commercial banking, savings and credit institutions; investment analysis; and the selling of financial instruments and services.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants must have completed or will complete secondary school by the time of enrollment; No grade point average guarantees admission to IUPUI. We look for applicants who have demonstrated a "B" average or above average grades, with strong grades in math and science. TOEFL (iBT) – 60; IELTS – 5.5; IUPUI Program for Intensive English (PIE) score of Level 5; GCSE or GCE O Level in English language score of Grades A-C; International Baccalaureate score of Higher Level English A1 or A2 Certificate, grade of 4 or higher; Freshman English Composition Course score of "C" grade or higher (equivalent to IUPUI W131) from a regionally accredited U.S. University.
