In a rapidly changing world, a Bachelor of Arts from ACU prepares you for the challenges of the future. Our course is designed to produce tomorrow’s leaders who will think outside the box and thrive in the modern workplace. As you follow your passions, you will receive a world-class education and develop highly-valued skills that are at the heart of the new economy: creative thinking, problem-solving, communication, and critical analysis.
Our Bachelor of Arts encourages you to think big and to take advantage of internships and community engagement placements that provide invaluable professional experiences while you study. You will have opportunities to develop local and international networks and expand your global outlook with our exciting overseas study experiences in locations such as New York, Rome and Nepal.
This course offers specialisations and the choice of more than 20 majors and minors in humanities, social sciences and visual arts. The full list of majors and minors can be viewed on the ACU website.
An honours program is available to students who have excelled during their previous three years of study. You will build your knowledge in your chosen major area of study through a research or creative project.

Industry partnerships
Our degrees in arts, humanities and social sciences will give you the tools to confidently step into the job market. You can volunteer at a not- for-profit organisation to build on-the-job skills, or be a part of the Big Idea – a social enterprise competition to provide innovative ideas to help homeless, marginalised and disadvantaged Australians. Some of our students have volunteered or taken placements at:

Students with a Student Visa will need to complete the program in minimum duration, study at least one subject on-campus each semester and must not undertake more than 33% of the program online.

為來自中國的學生設計 Applicants must have minimum aggregate score of 7. Ranks on the GCE are calculated on the basis that at the Advanced Level (A2): A=6, A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1, and must include results in minimum of two advanced Level (A2) and up to two (2) at Advanced Subsidiary Level (AS) subjects. AS Level subject is half of that assigned at Advanced Level (A2) – A=3, A=2.5, B=2, C=1.5, D=1, E=0.5. Subjects at Advanced Level (A2) must be taken in the same academic year. AS Level subjects may be taken in the same or previous academic year. A subject taken at both AS Level and Advanced Level is only counted once for aggregate score. Applicants must have must have the equivalent of an Australian Year 12 Certificate. English Language Requirements: Overall IELTS score of 6.0 (with an individual score of 6.0 in writing and speaking; 5.5 in listening and reading); Pearson Test of English (PTE): 50 with a minimum of 50 in writing and speaking and a minimum of 42 in reading and listening; Test of English as a Foreign Language - Academic (TOEFL): Internet based total of 60: minimum 21 in writing, 18 in speaking, 8 in reading and 7 in listening; ACU English Language Test: C (60-64%); Cambridge Advanced English (CAE): Overall CAE of 169 (Minimum score of 169 in writing and speaking and 162 in listening and reading).
