The MA degree in Community Counseling, conferred by The Graduate School, is a research-oriented program designed for students who intend to pursue a doctoral degree in counseling psychology, counselor education or related fields. While MA degree students may be interested in the master's-level professional practice of counseling in a variety of mental-health settings, most are also interested in study beyond the master's degree and plan to pursue doctoral studies in PhD or PsyD degree programs.

Curriculum
MA in Community Counseling
Completion of the MA degree program requires 48 semester hours of graduate study focused in two major areas: (1) counseling core and (2) specialty area. The program includes 450 clock hours of practicum/internship experience (for six semester hours of course credit). Students must also take and pass a four-hour written comprehensive examination during their final semester of study.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) The Graduate School welcomes applications from international students who have completed a four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or its equivalent. TOEFL, a minimum score of 79 on the iBT or a 550 on the written test is required. IELTS, a minimum score of 6.0 is required. PTE, a minimum score of 53 is required.
