Every organization makes a product or provides a service. Most organizations work together with a network of other manufacturers and service providers through supply chains. Supply Chain management involves managing organizations' supply chains to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage by providing quality products, outstanding customer service, and effective cost control.
The Quinlan School of Business' BBA in Supply Chain Management degree program is unique in that it teaches students to make managerial decisions and cope with the problems of public and private industry, and, at the same time, allows specialization in supply chain management.
Goal
The goal of the Bachelor of Business Administration in Supply Chain Management program is to prepare business professionals for a variety of roles in managing today’s supply chain.
Outcomes
At the completion of the program, graduates are expected to:
- Utilize sophisticated methodologies to improve or optimize operations across a wide range of industries.
- Use data analytics methods to model, examine, and enhance today’s supply chain.
- Execute fundamental tasks associated with process design and improvement, transportation management, inventory management, and purchasing management.
- Integrate values, ethics, and sustainability into supply chain management.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate and collaborate with a diverse team comprised of individuals within a variety of business units.
- Apply relevant technologies to effectively manage a supply chain.
- Analyze ways that governmental, institutional, and professional policies directly and indirectly influence supply chains.
