The Quinlan School of Business' BBA in accounting degree program is both rigorous and flexible. Students who major in accounting pursue careers in auditing, taxation, systems, consulting, and management accounting. Coursework prepares students for the CPA, CMA, CFM, and CIA examinations. In addition, qualified students may enter and graduate with a Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) in as little as one additional year of study.
The goal of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting program is to prepare students for successful careers in the accounting profession. To accomplish this, the Department of Accounting and Business Law shares the vision, mission, values and pledges made by the University and the Quinlan School of Business. However, the department also makes the following pledges to its students:
- To continuously strive to add value to the classroom experience.
- To recognize that while there is a professional relationship that must be maintained between students and their professor, we view our relationship as a partnership, with rights allowed and responsibilities expected from both faculty and students.
- To recognize that learning occurs outside the classroom as well as inside. To this end, the department pledges to actively support student activities and initiatives that further enhance their educational experience.
Outcomes
Upon completion of the BBA Accounting program, graduates are expected to have acquired essential skills in the areas of:
- Critical Analysis: Accounting undergraduates will demonstrate the ability to critically analyze an accounting situation or problem and use technology where appropriate.
- Professional Knowledge: Accounting undergraduates will possess fundamental professional accounting knowledge in the areas of:
- Strategic cost management
- Financial accounting
- Audit and business risk
- Tax
- Legal and regulatory knowledge.
- Communication: Accounting undergraduates will possess the ability to document scope, findings and recommendations of accounting work both orally and in writing
- Professional Research: Our graduates will illustrate professional research skills necessary to enter the accounting profession.

為來自中國的學生設計 Students must have completed a secondary and high school. A minimum score of 79 is required for the TOEFL, A minimum score of 6.5 for IELTS, 53 on the PTE.
