The Master of Surgery (MS) Program requires an original contribution to knowledge in some field related to surgery.
Generally, candidates must have at least three years' experience of surgical training and there should be a lapse of five years before the thesis is submitted from the date of the award of the undergraduate medical degree.
A higher degree that has a substantial clinical interface can best be undertaken in an atmosphere where there is access to top quality clinicians and scientists who work in a collaborative manner advancing and innovating in health and disease. St George Clinical School provides for that vibrant and dynamic environment with nearly 200 active clinicians participating in research and education. Our Research Supervisors have outstanding international reputations and work in a wide range of areas from immune malfunctions to gastro enteric pathology to disorders of bone joints and spine along with a very active research program in cancer diagnostic and treatment. Collaborations and interdisciplinary interactions are a hallmark.
