The Master of Surgery (MS) Program requires an original contribution to knowledge in some field related to surgery.
Generally, candidates must have at least three years' experience of surgical training and there should be a lapse of five years before the thesis is submitted from the date of the award of the undergraduate medical degree.
UNSW Australia provides an excellent opportunity for students to undertake either a Doctor of Philosophy or Master of Science, Medicine or Surgery through the South Western Sydney Clinical School. The School is located in the fastest growing parts of the Sydney and is located in some of the busiest clinical services in NSW. Liverpool and Bankstown Hospitals, along with the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research, provide excellent venues for undertaking a higher degree in a range of clinical disciplines.
