If you are passionate about communication and journalism, and would also like to gain a grounding in the arts, the new Bachelor of Media (Communication & Journalism) and the Bachelor of Arts double degree is for you. The program allows you to combine communication and journalism with in-depth study of a specific area of the arts, humanities and social sciences. The Bachelor of Media (Communication & Journalism) will teach you broad professional communication skills and offers a philosophical and cultural foundation in media studies as well as practical skills in communication and journalism.
The Bachelor of Arts is designed to provide the benefits of an education in the Humanities, Social Sciences and the Creative and Performing Arts including the ability to think critically and communicate effectively. With more than 30 areas of study to choose from you will be able to develop knowledge and skills that complement your communication and journalism studies to give you a distinctive edge as a graduate. This combined degree, which typically takes four years, will provide you great opportunities to work across a wide range of communication fields.

English Language requirements: IELTS Academic version only: 6.5 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest); TOEFL Internet-based Test (iBT): 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking); TOEFL Paper-based Test (PBT): 577 overall (min. 5.0 in TWE); Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest); UNSW Institute of Languages University English Entry Course (UEEC): Successful completion with a minimum overall grade of C+ and a minimum grade of C in the writing component; Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): 176 overall (min.169 in each subtest); Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): 180 overall (min.180 in each subtest).
