在這里學什么？ The Foundation Year of the four-year programme aims to provide understanding of the key subjects in art and design to meet the prerequisites for study on the associated degree programmes (see Course Details). The key areas of study will be effective communication and study skills combined with fundamental subjects in art and design.This course will provide you with a strong foundation in art and design, allowing you to progress onto one of our BA (Hons) or BSc (Hons) degree courses in a cognate discipline.It is ideal if you want to develop your career along an arts and design pathway but have a non-arts and design background, or you don’t meet the entry requirements for direct entry to an Honours degree.This course is also attractive if you are returning to education or if you wish to change career direction.

為來自中國的學生設計 Applicants with a graduation certificate from a specialised college or school (zhongzhuan) with a final grade of 60% or above will be considered for the International Foundation Year. Applicants who have completed the huikao (senior secondary school) with a final grade of 60% or above will also be considered. Applicants who have completed three full years of high school and hold a senior secondary school graduation certificate with an overall minimum grade of 60% will be considered for undergraduate study. Applicants who hold a dazhaun qualification with a score of 60% or above will be considered for advanced entry on relevant undergraduate programmes if appropriate modules have been studied. Applicants who have achieved ACC/BCC/BC in graded units on their SQA-HND programme will be considered for final year entry on selected undergraduate business programmes. We require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent.
