專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ This exciting course combines the study of English language and creative writing, enabling you to discover more about the nature, acquisition, origins and use of the language alongside the opportunity for you to be inspired to break new ground as a writer.More than ever before, the creative industries are looking for practitioners who can go beyond their specialism to engage with stakeholders beyond the arts. Similarly, employers value highly graduates who can demonstrate serious engagement with rigorous academic study in the humanities, and this course encompasses the best of both worlds in a dynamic and ever-changing job market.This course is just one of our English and Creative Writing programmes, which have risen ten places in the 2020 Guardian university league tables. The foundation year of this four-year programme aims to provide you with a range of necessary study skills for undertaking successful undergraduate learning, and it will introduce you to a range of academic study which will prepare you to progress positively onto the BA (Hons) course.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants with a graduation certificate from a specialised college or school (zhongzhuan) with a final grade of 60% or above will be considered for the International Foundation Year. Applicants who have completed the huikao (senior secondary school) with a final grade of 60% or above will also be considered. Applicants who have completed three full years of high school and hold a senior secondary school graduation certificate with an overall minimum grade of 60% will be considered for undergraduate study. Applicants who hold a dazhaun qualification with a score of 60% or above will be considered for advanced entry on relevant undergraduate programmes if appropriate modules have been studied. Applicants who have achieved ACC/BCC/BC in graded units on their SQA-HND programme will be considered for final year entry on selected undergraduate business programmes. We require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent.
