The Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s program provides the opportunity for developing proficiency in a technical specialty within the field. Electives within the program emphasize mechanical design, energy systems, manufacturing processes, materials engineering and biomedical engineering.
Program Objectives: We expect our graduates to be successfully engaged in the Mechanical Engineering design processes and the practical application of engineering theory, methods and practices, including alternative energy systems, manufacturing, controls, robotics, materials, and biomedical systems and devices; We expect our graduates to advance their professional growth and development through activities such as graduate study in engineering, professional registration and continuing education, with some graduates transitioning into other professional fields; We expect our graduates to be effectively engaged in service to their professional societies as well as their local, national or global communities.
Learning Outcomes: An ability to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science and mathematics; An ability to apply both analysis and synthesis in the engineering design process, resulting in designs that meet desired needs; An ability to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions; An ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences; An ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental and societal contexts; An ability to recognize the ongoing need for additional knowledge and locate, evaluate, integrate and apply this knowledge appropriately; An ability to function effectively on teams that establish goals, plan tasks, meet deadlines and analyze risk and uncertainty.

為來自中國的學生設計 Students must have completed a high school graduates who have not previously attended college may apply for admission as freshmen. English Language Requirement: The minimum TOEFL score is 550 on the paper-based exam, 213 on the computer-based exam, or 79 on the internet-based exam. The minimum IELTS score is 6.0.
