在這里學(xué)什么?
As a one-year ‘top-up’ degree, Media Production provides a scaffold between higher education and independent creative practice, facilitated by academics, practitioners and industry. At the end of their period of study, students can go into industry armed with a portfolio of practical examples to showcase the full extent of their skills before commencing full-time employment.
The course’s learning and teaching methods are underpinned by UEL’s Corporate Plan which focuses on student success through active engagement: ‘learning by doing’. Students will have mentors from the media and creative industries and additional teaching support will be given to international students who need support in action learning.
This course will appeal to creative media students who want to work on real-life projects that equip them with transferable and marketable skills.
There will be a wide portfolio of practical creative outputs stemming from their chosen specialist pathway, as well as an awareness of cultural and academic context, particularly in relation to London and its broad cultural scene. Graduates would be suited to careers in media industries. They will also learn self-starting skills in how to develop, pitch and look for funding for arts projects that have a civic engagement aspect as this meets the requirements of UEL’s Vision 2028.
