專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ The role of a social worker involves working with vulnerable people across all ages and cultures to build trusting, respectful relationships. This programme will develop you into a supportive and highly skilled social worker, ready for a challenging but rewarding career. You will combine personal skills such as listening and communication with the ability to assess, act and work in partnership with service users and other professionals. Our curriculum follows the Professional Capabilities Framework and proficiency standards for social work, building evidence for your portfolio, reviewing key issues in social work practice and incorporating challenging scenarios. Our BSc (Hons) Social Work degree is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) - the independent regulator for England. Upon graduation, you'll be eligible to register with the HCPC to practice as a professional social worker. Our course is also endorsed by the College of Social Work and is well known for producing excellent practitioners capable of operating in local authority, voluntary or private settings. Extracurricular opportunities exist for international visits exist outside term time through our Go Abroad scheme to enrich your experience. A few students per year also get the opportunity to attend International Social Work Week in the Netherlands.
