專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ The BA (Hons) in Garment Technology has been developed to reflect and respond to contemporary practice within the global fashion industry. You will be encouraged to develop a professional, enquiring attitude within technical aspects of clothing production and an ability to become confident and self-motivated in your chosen practice.You will gain experience and insight into this sector of the industry studying topics including; advanced pattern cutting, design management and realisation, garment fittings, grading and sizing. You will also study; production planning, costings and quality control.You will gain primary knowledge from technical specialists, both within the teaching team and through guest visits to and from industry. This specialist course provides opportunities to work on live projects throughout, including an individual final year collaboration. Previous students have worked with fashion brands such Burberry, Hackett, Amanda Wakeley, Karen Millen, Monsoon and Topshop. Also technical sportswear companies sportswear companies including Adidas and Rab. Within this course you will use industry standard Gerber software and gain an insight into garment production both in the UK and overseas.
