Psychology gives you a fascinating insight into the factors that influence how people think, feel and behave. Child development psychology is a fascinating specialist area, focused on typical and atypical child development. This course integrates core areas of psychological knowledge, giving you a deep understanding of the subject. Taught with an applied focus, it will also help you apply your learning in the real world to make a difference to people's lives.

Our degrees are accredited by the British Psychology Society (BPS). This meets the requirements for Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR). With GBR, you can undertake Masters/Doctoral level study leading to Chartered Membership of the BPS. You’ll need at least a Lower Second Honours degree to be eligible for GBR.
Employability
As well as enhancing your understanding of human behaviour and thought processes, this course will help you become a more persuasive communicator - a desirable skill for employers. During the final year of the Child Development Psychology course, you can specialise in typical and atypical child development, focussing on conditions such as autism, Down syndrome, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or Tourettes syndrome.
With an accredited degree and an appropriate postgraduate qualification you could go on to be a chartered psychologist in health, clinical, forensic, child and educational or occupational psychology. You’re also equipped for a career in counselling, teaching, the probation and courts services, market research, HR or business – there’s no such thing as a traditional career path for psychology graduates.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) To apply for an undergraduate course at LSBU you need to have one of the following: Senior High School Graduation Certificate with a minimum of 70-80% (course specific requirements may apply); Chinese University / College Entrance Examination ('Gaokao') with a minimum of 350-400 in relevant subjects; Vocational College Diploma ('Gaozhi') diploma with average marks of 70% minimum; suitable UK Foundation course with a minimum of 60%; minimum English language requirements are as follows: IELTS 6.0 with all skills at 5.5 or above.
