在這里學(xué)什么？ The Contemporary History BA(Hons) is for students who want to study topics and methods that are relevant to the demands of today. Its starting point is the present and it uses history to address the many crises and challenges of the contemporary world.The degree focuses on modern history, starting from the nineteenth century all the way to the twenty-first century, paying particular attention to the themes of historical change and struggle. Eschewing traditional approaches to history, the degree adopts a unique teaching method. First, it is interdisciplinary, drawing from other disciplines such as politics and cultural studies in its exploration of historical themes. Second, it focuses not just on what happened but also on the mechanics of history as a discipline, its production, and its social and political uses.You will be taught in small seminar groups, where you will develop your ability to make persuasive arguments and participate in debates.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Students require a National College Entrance Examination (NCEE / Gaokao) with a minimum score of 75% overall and 75% in any required subjects. Please note, courses with higher entry requirements may ask for a minimum score of 80% overall.Students taking the Huikao (Senior Secondary School Certificate) will need to take and successfully complete an international foundation year or equivalent. Minimum English language requirements: IELTS 6.0 (min 5.5 in all components).
